Anxiety presents itself in so many different ways. Some people can go a long time without realizing they have anxiety, and some of the symptoms can be worrying if that’s the case. For those who are aware of their anxiety, recognizing the symptoms is really important. This way, you’re better able to prevent anxiety attacks, and it will help with your overall mood, too.

Even for those who don’t live with anxiety, this can still be helpful to you! If you have a loved one who deals with it, being familiar with the symptoms can give you an idea on how they’re feeling. For people who live with anxiety, it can be hard to talk about sometimes.

There are physical symptoms of anxiety as well as mental symptoms. If you’re able to recognize these symptoms when they first hit, it’ll be less likely that you lose control. You won’t necessarily feel all of these every time, but knowing them and being aware of when you feel them can make a huge impact on your mental health.

Like I said, anxiety presents itself in many ways, but knowing these common symptoms can help you to stop it in its tracks. The biggest tip that I can give you when you first feel anxiety creeping in, is to breathe. Just take a deep breath. Know that you’re not alone. Find something to interrupt your thoughts.
